Coach José Mourinho’s move to Fenerbahçe, in Turkey, seems to be getting closer and closer. This Saturday, the Portuguese admitted that he has the desire to join the Turkish team, but that nothing is certain yet.
“I’ve already decided that I want to go, but it’s not finalized yet. I can’t officially confirm it. But yes, I want to go,” he told Sky Sports.
Mourinho has been without a club since he was fired from Roma in January this year. If the negotiation is confirmed, Fenerbahçe will be the 11th club that the “Special One” will lead in his career. He has already played for Benfica, Leiria, Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham, as well as Roma.
Among the many achievements of Mourinho’s career are the two Champions Leagues, one with Porto and the other with Inter Milan.
Mourinho would arrive with the mission of ending Fenerbahçe’s drought. The team has not been Turkish champion since 2014 and was second in the last edition of the championship, finishing its campaign with 99 points and losing only one game.
