Dani Vivian renews for Athletic until 2032
Dani Vivian and Athletic Club have taken a big step forward to continue hand in hand for many years. The center has committed to six more seasons of those indicated in his contract, until the June 30, 2032. And he did it in Ibaigane in the presence of the president, Jon Uriarte, just before joining Luis de la Fuente’s camp in search of a place to play in the Euro Cup.
Vivian’s growth has been meteoric. At 24 years old, the central defender from Gasteiz has become indisputable in the axis of the rearcontesting in this campaign no less than 40 matches (37 as a starter) of the 103 bets he has added in three seasons. His great performance earned him his international debut in a friendly for the Spanish team at Wembley against Colombia in March. He has an average of 6.5 recovered balls and is the third highest rated centre-back of the league competition.
Vivian, who arrived as a youth from Santutxu FC to join CD Basconia, took continuous steps in Lezama for his improvement, including the loan to CD Mirandés in the 2020/21 campaign, where despite his youth he became captain in his debut in professional football.
Author of three goals as a lion, the Cup champion becomes the player of the squad along with Oihan Sancet with the longest contract. It is a sign of the confidence of both parties in the project.
