With the departure of Xavi and the arrival of Hansi Flick, André Cury, Vitor Roque’s manager, believes that the Brazilian can have a fresh start at Barcelona. In his first season at the Spanish club, the young man didn’t have many minutes on the field.
“Vitor Roque expected more minutes with Xavi. Now, with the new coach [Hansi Flick]it’s starting from scratch,” Cury told Brand Radio.

While he was in charge of Barça, Xavi commented that Vitor Roque’s future at Barcelona was not guaranteed. At the time, André Cury criticized the Spaniard, claiming that the striker did not receive many opportunities to show his football.
In fact, Xavi had revealed that the intention was not for Vitor Roque to arrive at Barça in the middle of the European season. The businessman denied the information.
“It’s not true that Xavi wanted the player for December (2023). He even wanted it earlier. For July (2023), and they didn’t let him come. I insist, Xavi called him personally”, he said.
Vitor Roque arrived at Barcelona surrounded by expectations, being one of the great promises in football. This season for the Catalan club, “Tigrinho” entered the field on 14 occasions, scoring two goals.
