Men Today journalists named three exercises that are dangerous for people over 40.
The authors advised excluding intense cardio exercise from the training plan. It is noted that this can overstrain the heart, respiratory system, blood vessels and muscles. In return, it is suggested to go for a run, ride a bike, swim or do exercises in a dance style.
Twisting is also considered undesirable for people over 40 years of age. “The fact is that at this age, joints and bones begin to gradually wear out, bone mass decreases by 20-30 percent. And twisting becomes dangerous for the spine, especially if there were problems with it before,” they explained in the material and suggested doing the plank.
Finally, this age group was advised not to bend over. It is emphasized that the exercise creates a load on the lumbar spine and increases blood pressure.
Earlier, fitness trainer Irina Rotach revealed a way to lose belly fat after 40 years. She suggested doing hip extensions on the floor and squats with swings.
