Ukrainian athlete set a condition for Russians to participate in the Olympic Games

Ukrainian saber fencer Harlan named the condition for the admission of Russians to the Olympic Games 2024

Saber fencer Olga Kharlan from Ukraine has set a condition for Russians to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games. She said in an interview with As that it is necessary to admit only those participants who do not live in Russia and openly oppose hostilities within the framework of a special operation (SVO).

According to Harlan, not all Russian athletes adhere to neutrality during international competitions.

“Of course, I don’t support this. I couldn’t agree more. Many of the athletes allowed to compete openly support the army. I believe that by doing this they turn a blind eye to the real facts. I hope that at the games the control of neutrality will be stricter,” the fencer noted.

Earlier, Harlan explained her reluctance to compete with the Russians. According to her, Russian athletes continue to be financed by the state, in addition, they celebrate victories with the flags of their country.
