Possible options for continuing Dzyuba’s career are named

The sports future of 35-year-old Lokomotiv striker Artem Dzyuba after leaving the club at the end of the season depends only on his ambitions, says sports commentator Alexander Kuzmak. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, he named possible options for continuing his career as a football player.

“If he wants to continue his career, he will find himself some other club. Maybe he won’t have the same ambitions as Lokomotiv. It’s hard to say. Any player who reaches a certain age naturally loses speed primarily due to this very age. As for the rest, Dzyuba is a very qualified striker and, probably, there will be clubs if Dzyuba himself needs it, so that he can continue his career there. This is a question primarily about Dzyuba’s ambitions; there is no second bottom here,” he said.

Lokomotiv announced the departure of forward Artem Dzyuba after the end of the season. The parties will not renew cooperation after completion of the contract. “Lokomotiv thanks Artem for his great and important contribution to the development of the club, for his goals and assists, for his constant desire to win!” – the club said in a statement.

As Mash writes with reference to the athlete’s agent Leonid Goldman, the football player feels good and has no plans to end his career. The footballer’s representative said that negotiations are currently underway with Russian and foreign clubs, but foreign teams are the priority.

Dzyuba moved to Lokomotiv on February 8, 2023. This season he has played 26 matches for the team in all competitions, scoring four goals and making four assists.
