Gymnast Mamun said that she did not take insults from Wiener personally
Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics Margarita Mamun, in an interview with the YouTube channel “Vitya Kravchenko,” explained the attacks against her from coach Irina Viner, who called the athlete a creature and a brute.
“I didn’t take it personally at all. My coaches tried to awaken the beast in me. The typical athlete is an athlete who is angry,” she said.
At the same time, according to the gymnast, because of such tough communication, the coach often appeared in her dreams. According to Mamun, she did not deserve such treatment. The athlete believes that Wiener behaved this way because of weakness – the coach could not achieve the desired result from her student, which is why she lost her temper.
Earlier it was reported that Mamun removed the inscription “Russian team” from the car donated for victory at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro. She explained this by saying that she “needed to move on.”
