PSG President Al-Khelaifi underpaid Mbappe €80 million due to his departure from the club
Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has refused to pay striker Kylian Mbappe part of his salary and bonuses. L’Equipe became aware of this.
According to the source, the forward was underpaid by 80 million euros in total. In addition, the head of PSG ordered not to release the player in some matches for unsportsmanlike reasons. The reason for such decisions is said to be Mbappe’s refusal to renew his contract with the Parisian club.
On May 10, Mbappe announced his departure from PSG at the end of the season. The forward did not name the new team, but the president of the Spanish La Liga, Javier Tebas, confirmed the transfer of the French player to Real Madrid.
Mbappe has played for PSG since 2017. Together with the team, he won the French Championship six times, won the National Cup four times and the Super Cup three times. In 2022, Real already tried to acquire Mbappe, but then the player’s transfer fell through – the striker extended his contract with PSG.
