Mamie Laverock from the series “When Calls the Heart” fell from a balcony on the fifth floor of a hospital in Vancouver. The 19-year-old underwent numerous surgeries and her condition is critical.

On May 11, Mamie Laverock was admitted to a local hospital in Winnipeg, from where she was transported to a facility in Vancouver to recover. The actress’s parents announced this via GoFundMe, but did not reveal the direct cause of hospitalization.

A few days later, on May 26, Rob and Nicole Compton posted a message in a fundraiser for their daughter that she had suffered a serious accident. The 19-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries after falling from a balcony on the fifth floor of the hospital. “It is with deep sadness that we inform you that on May 26, Mamie, who had been undergoing intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was taken out of a secure hospital ward and taken to a balcony from which she fell five floors. She suffered life-threatening injuries, underwent many extensive surgeries and is currently is connected to life support equipment,” we read. So far (as of May 29), $27,000 has been collected to help the 19-year-old.

Tragic news also reached Johannah Newmarch, the mother of Mamie Laverock. Through the X portal, the actress encouraged Internet users to help the injured 19-year-old.

In 2014, Mamie Laverock joined the cast of the series “When Calls the Heart”. It is an American-Canadian adaptation of Janette Oke’s novel, in which the 19-year-old actress plays the role of Rosaleen Sullivan, a nursing student. Mamie Laverock made her screen debut in 2011 in the film “The Deadly Game”. A year later, she appeared in the American comedy “So War”.
