Markelov, who played in Kazakhstan, complained about the attitude of local football players
Tyumen footballer Ivan Markelov, who played for the Kazakh Aktobe, complained about the attitude towards him from local players. His words are quoted by Metaratings.
According to the forward, a bad coalition of Kazakh football players has formed in the team. “She was against the head coach and our boys – Yuri Lebedev, Pavel Golyshev, Edik Sukhanov. The guys and I were always together and always felt that the Kazakhs were against the Russian guys. The atmosphere was hostile,” Markelov said.
The player added that he wanted to return to Russia. “I felt like a stranger, and my wife also felt out of place there,” Markelov noted.
Markelov has been playing for Tyumen since 2023. Last season he played 32 matches in the First League, in which he scored three goals.
