The athlete signed the extension accompanied by the president of the Catalan club, Joan Laporta; the vice-president, Rafa Yuste; the director responsible for youth football, Joan Soler; and the sporting director, Deco.
Despite his young age, the young man has already played ten games for the professional team, seven in the Spanish Championship, two in the Copa del Rey and one in the Champions League. In total, he distributed three assists in those games.
The expectation is that HΓ©ctor Fort will receive more opportunities next season. The Spaniard plays as a right-back, but has been used on the left on a few occasions.
In the position, Barcelona has: JoΓ£o Cancelo, Marcos Alonso and Alejandro Balde, in addition to defenders Ronald AraΓΊjo and Jules KoundΓ©, who have also played the role.
