Chalov about Russians in foreign clubs: they say that we need to go to Europe
CSKA forward Fedor Chalov shared his opinion on the performance of Russian players in foreign clubs. His words are quoted by Soviet Sport.
“I follow the results of the Russians in Europe, of course. I just watched the Europa League final. It’s a pity that Lekha Miranchuk didn’t play, but he had a very good season,” said Chalov. He added that Russians playing abroad do not make fun of them in the national team, but say that they should go to Europe.
On April 9, Chalov extended his contract with CSKA until the end of the 2024/2025 season. In the completed season of the Russian Premier League, the 26-year-old football player scored 12 goals and three assists in 29 matches.
At the moment, several Russian football players are playing in European championships. Among the most famous are Alexander Golovin, representing Monaco, Alexey Miranchuk, playing for the Italian Atalanta, Daler Kuzyaev for the French Le Havre, Arsen Zakharyan for the Spanish Real Sociedad.
