Mbappé says goodbye to PSG with French Cup title

Kylian Mbappé said goodbye to PSG this Saturday with the French Cup title. The team defeated Lyon 2-1 at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium in Lille and won the competition.

The French star says goodbye to PSG after seven years at the club. During this period, there were six Ligue 1 titles and four French Cup titles.

Mbappé attracted all eyes in his last game as a PSG player, but failed to score in his farewell.

Despite having a blank, Mbappé was very active in the match, with a constant presence in the offensive game and with several opportunities created, but which did not result in a goal.

“It’s a team that throughout the season was exactly what I was looking for, what I expected. Obviously we would like to play another week (and compete in the Champions League after all). Football is sometimes unfair, but I give my team a 10 players throughout the season,” said Spanish coach Luis Enrique after the title.

Mbappé officially announced on May 10 that he will not continue at PSG next season. According to the specialized press, he is on his way to Real Madridbut first he will have the challenge of competing in the European Championship (June 14th – July 14th) with the France team.
