Zenit beat Rostov 2-1 and secured the Russian Championship title this Saturday. Playing at home, the team needed the victory, but lost 1-0. Despite this, strikers Gustavo Mantuan, ex-Corinthians, and Artur, ex-Palmeiras, were decisive and turned the game around for the home team.
The lead in the duel was opened by Rostov nine minutes into the second half, with a goal from Ronaldo, formerly of Bahia. Shortly after, in the 20th minute, Mantuan equalized from the penalty spot, while Artur turned the ball around for Zenit in the 40th minute.
