Giro: Farewell to Thiago Motta, Bologna loses to Genoa in the Italian; Girona thrashes in Spanish

For the 38th round of the Italianthis Friday, Estadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris, the Bologna, away from home and already qualified for the Champions League, lost 2-0 to Genoa. The duel marked the farewell of Italian-Brazilian coach Thiago Motta, who will possibly take charge of Juventus from next season.

The home team’s second occurred 14 minutes into the second half. After a hesitation from Bologna’s defense, Gudmundsson recovered the ball in the attacking field, advanced and played deep to Vitinha, who was entering the area. The center forward touched the goalkeeper’s exit and declared Genoa’s victory.

In the last round of the Spanish Championship, at home, Girona overtakes Granada

In the last round (38th) of the Spanish For the teams, Girona took no notice of Granada and thrashed 7-0. The match, which took place at the Montilivi Municipal Stadium, featured goals from Dovbyk (3), Tsyhankov (2), Eric García and Stuani.

Girona finishes the championship in third place with 81 points. Granada, relegated, is in 19th place, with 21 units added.
