The State Duma assessed the likelihood of beer returning to stadiums

Davankov said that there is a possibility of beer returning to stadiums

Vice Speaker of the State Duma and former Russian presidential candidate from the New People party Vladislav Davankov assessed the likelihood of beer returning to stadiums. His words are quoted by Metaratings.

He called it a difficult issue. “I think there is no need to ban beer at large, iconic events where there will be many spectators. There is a possibility of beer returning to stadiums. We had examples where we made concessions,” Davankov said.

Earlier, the President of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Alexander Dyukov, named the main obstacle preventing the return of beer sales at stadiums. According to him, this is the position of the Ministry of Health.

A ban on the sale of beer at sports venues has been in effect in Russia since 2005. During the 2018 FIFA World Cup, beer returned to Russian stadiums as an exception.
