Former CSKA football player Tosic said that Wernbloom was happy with life in Moscow
Former CSKA Moscow midfielder Zoran Tosic appreciated the apology of Swedish football player Pontus Wernbloom for playing for the army club. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Tosic said that Wernbloom did not show dissatisfaction with his presence in Moscow. “As long as I’ve known him, he’s a very good footballer and guy. It seems to me that in this situation his words were not translated very correctly,” the athlete emphasized.
On May 21, Wernbloom apologized for speaking for the army club. The footballer justified his actions by saying that at the time the contract was signed, the situation in the world was completely different.
Wernbloom played for CSKA from 2012 to 2018. Together with the team, he became the champion of Russia three times and won the national cup. In the 2015/2016 season, the Swede was included in the list of the best players in the championship according to the Russian Football Union.
