He Thursday May 23 disputes the 18th stage of the Giro d’Italiaa day that begins at 694 meters high in Premiere Fair and ends at 15 meters in Paduain a route of 178 kilometers.
The route is eminently flat and with hardly any obstacles so the day is favorable for the sprinters of the peloton.
The only real obstacle is the modest Lamon climb, a 4th category climb located at kilometer 17. From then on, the route continues on a false flat downhill, until another small section with a more undulating profile, in Valdobbiadenes, and then continue in a slight descent to the finish line for 110 kilometers.
In the last third of the stage, the wind could affect the race, but everything indicates that the final victory will be decided by the sprint.
The stage will begin at 1:10 p.m. and is scheduled to conclude at 5:02 p.m. in its fastest time and at 5:24 p.m. in its slowest time.
