The Dutch striker Paris Saint Germain Lieke Martens announced this Tuesday that she will retire from her country’s national team in June, after ten seasons in the ‘Orange’.
Martens, 31, revealed on his social media account X (old Twitter) that the Euro 2025 qualifiers against Finland, on May 31 and June 4, will be their last international matches.

The striker, who has played 158 games for the Netherlands, won Euro-2017 at home, in which she was elected the best player of the tournament. Two years later, she played for the 2019 World Cup finalist team in France, which ended up being won by the USA.
During his club career, he played for Barcelona (from 2017 to 2022) before signing a three-year contract with PSG in 2022.
