Chelsea sack head coach Mauricio Pochettino
The management of London’s Chelsea fired the team’s head coach Mauricio Pochettino. This is reported on the club’s website.
The contract was terminated by mutual consent of the parties. The team management thanked Pochettino for his work this season. The coach himself wished Chelsea further success.
Last season, the London club took sixth place in the English Championship. The team won a ticket to the Conference League.
Pochettino took charge of Chelsea in May 2023. The agreement with the 52-year-old specialist was signed for two years with the possibility of extension for another year.
Previously, Pochettino worked for the Spanish Espanyol, the English Southampton and Tottenham, as well as the French Paris Saint-Germain. Under his leadership, PSG became the champion of France and the winner of the national Cup.
