Tomeu Rigo will leave Bilbao Basket after six seasons

He Surne Bilbao Basket confirmed this Tuesday that Tomeu Rigo He will not continue in the team next season and the Balearic guard thus closes a six-year period at the Basque club.
Rigo, 27 years old, arrived in Bilbao in the summer of 2018 with the team in LEB Gold and participated in the return to the Endesa League of the men in black that same campaign.
In total, the foreigner has played 103 games: 53 in the Endesa League, 1 in the Copa del Rey, 13 in the FIBA Europe Cup, 35 in the LEB Oro and 1 in the Princess of Asturias Cup.
“We want to thank a true emblem of the club who has been an example of work, perseverance, energy and discipline. Tomeu has taught us to stand up and that the best solution is always to keep our heads high. A player who has been important in every match, whether it was on the court or not,” Bilbao Basket highlights in its farewell note.

Rigo’s is the third loss confirmed by the Bilbao team for next season, after the forward Alex Reyes and the Greek center Georgios Tsalmpouris.
