Mbappe hosted a farewell dinner at PSG, but Macron, who received an invitation, did not come
French forward Kylian Mbappe held a farewell party to mark his departure from Paris Saint-Germain. Le Parisien reports this.
The event for 250 guests took place in the center of Paris on May 20. The dinner was attended by Mbappe’s teammates and PSG staff. According to the source, French President Emmanuel Macron and club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi also received an invitation, but they did not come.
On May 10, Mbappe announced his departure from PSG at the end of the season. The forward did not name the new team, but the president of the Spanish La Liga, Javier Tebas, confirmed the transfer of the French player to Real Madrid.
Mbappe has played for PSG since 2017. Together with the team, he won the French championship six times and won the country’s Cup and Super Cup three times each. In 2022, Real already tried to acquire Mbappe, but then the player’s transfer fell through – the striker extended his contract with PSG.
