The German athlete finished the competition with 32 games played, 11 goals scored and 11 assists distributed. Previously, he was chosen as the best player of the month on three occasions (October, December and February).
Wirtz was a key player in Leverkusen’s memorable campaign. In addition to his direct participation in goals, the number 10 also stood out for his dribbling and his ability to create plays.
