Inter Milan draws with Lazio and maintains an 11-game unbeaten run at home in the Italian Championship

This Sunday, in a match valid for the 37th round of the Italian Championship, already champions Inter Milan hosted Lazio and drew 1-1 at the San Siro Stadium. Dumfries scored for the home team, while Kamada was the one who found the net for the visitors.

With the draw and one round remaining in the championship, the Milan team, national champion for the 20th time, reached 93 points in 37 matches. Lazio remained in seventh place in the table and lost the chance to pass Roma, who have a game in hand and are in the place that guarantees access to the Europa League.

Inter Milan returns to the field next Sunday, when they visit Hellas Verona for the 38th and final round of the Italian Championship, at the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium, with the time not yet defined. Lazio, on the same day and tournament, hosts Sassuolo at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, also with the time undefined at the moment.

Just 4 minutes into the opening half, Valentín Castellanos scored for Lazio. After a VAR review, the goal was disallowed due to offside, detected at the beginning of the play.

The score was opened by the visiting team at 32 in the first half. Upon receiving a pass from Rovella at the edge of the area, Kamada shot a left-handed cross and scored the first goal of the match.

Inter Milan’s equalizer came in the 42nd minute of the second half. After a cross from the right wing, Dumfries beat the marker at the top and headed the ball past Provedel to score the home team’s goal.
