American hockey player Galchenyuk: I get great pleasure from life in Russia
American hockey player Alex Galchenyuk spoke about life in Russia. His words are quoted by Match TV.
Galchenyuk noted that the country has changed for the better in recent years. “Moscow has become a completely different city. And everything was wonderful in St. Petersburg: the city, the restaurants, and the ice arenas. I get great pleasure from life in Russia, there’s nothing to complain about at all,” he said.
On May 17, Galchenyuk signed a contract with Khabarovsk Amur. The agreement with the 30-year-old striker is for one year.
In the 2023/2024 season, Galchenyuk played for St. Petersburg SKA, with whom he reached the quarterfinals of the Gagarin Cup. He also previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Montreal Canadiens, Arizona Coyotes, Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota Wild, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs and Colorado Avalanche.
