Skater Kerry was banned for life for molesting minors
Australian figure skater Brendan Kerry has been banned for life for sexually harassing minors. ESPN reports this.
A report from the US Center for Safe Sport claims that Kerry, while intoxicated, repeatedly had sexual contact with underage skaters. Among them was Gracie Gold, a 2014 Olympic bronze medalist and two-time US champion.
Kerry has the right to appeal the life ban. In addition, it does not apply to participation in tournaments outside the United States, as the Center for Safe Sport does not have jurisdiction in other states.
Kerry, 29, was one of Australia’s flag bearers at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. The skater won seven consecutive national titles in Australia between 2013 and 2019.
