Carolina forward Kuznetsov repeated Ovechkin’s achievement in the Stanley Cup
Russian Carolina Hurricanes forward Evgeny Kuznetsov repeated the achievement of Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin in the playoffs of the National Hockey League (NHL). This was reported on the NHL Public Relations page on the social network. X.
Kuznetsov became the sixth active player to score at least three goals in his career in potential elimination games. Previously, Joe Pavelski (four goals), Corey Perry, Alexander Ovechkin, Patrick Kane and Chris Kreider (all three goals) achieved a similar result.
On the night of May 14, the fifth match of the 1/4 finals of the Stanley Cup took place against the New York Rangers. The meeting ended with a score of 4:1, the decisive goal was scored by Kuznetsov. Thanks to the victory, Carolina reduced the gap in the series (2-3).
