“These next two games will be my last with Milan. My career will continue in MLS. I am very proud of everything I managed to do here at Milan during these three seasons. It’s the right time to announce this, I’m a little emotional. But that’s it, my story with Milan ends this year.”, he said.
Giroud is the top scorer in the history of the French national team, with 57 goals in 131 matches. For clubs, the athlete also played for teams such as Arsenal and Chelsea. At Milan, Giroud has played 130 matches to date, with 48 goals and one Italian Championship title.
At Los Angeles FC, Giroud will play with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, a teammate on the French team. The American team also signed Gareth Bale, formerly of Real Madrid, in 2022, before his retirement.
