CSKA and Dynamo will play in the Brotherhood Cup with Serbian Belgrade and Partizan
The pre-season Fraternal Cup with the participation of Russian and Serbian clubs will be held in Moscow from July 3 to July 7. Details are reported on the Dynamo Moscow website.
Four teams will take part in the competition: Moscow Dynamo and CSKA, as well as Serbian Partizan and OFK Belgrade. The clubs will play one match against each of two foreign opponents.
Points for victories will be awarded to cities, not teams. The tournament trophy will go to one of the countries – either Russia or Serbia.
On February 28, 2022, Russian football teams were excluded from international tournaments. Clubs do not compete in European competitions, and the Russian national team lost the opportunity to compete for access to the final part of the 2022 World Cup and did not participate in the Euro 2024 qualifications.
