St. Pauli gained access to the Bundesliga this Sunday (12), after 13 years in the second division of German football. The club from a popular neighborhood in Hamburg will join Holstein Kiel in the elite next season.
Thanks to a 3-1 home victory over bottom club Osnabruck, coach Fabian Hurzeler’s team, just 31 years old, regained the lead in the Second Division. As a result, they surpassed Kiel, another club from northern Germany, in the Championship standings.
