Sporting had already secured its 20th title after beating Portimonense 3-0 in the last round, counting on Benfica’s defeat to Famalicão to become champions.

Estoril is no longer at risk of relegation, being 4 points away from the zone with one game remaining to be played.
The only goal of the match was scored by the Portuguese Paulinho, who counted on a pass from Nuno Santos to shoot across and secure the three points for Sporting. Both had entered 12 minutes into the second half.
