Already champion, Sporting beats Estoril in a duel for the Portuguese Championship

Sporting visited Estoril this Saturday at the Antonio Coimbra de Mota Stadium for the 33rd round of the Portuguese Championship. The Lisbon team won the game by a simple score of 1-0.

Sporting had already secured its 20th title after beating Portimonense 3-0 in the last round, counting on Benfica’s defeat to Famalicão to become champions.

Estoril is no longer at risk of relegation, being 4 points away from the zone with one game remaining to be played.

The only goal of the match was scored by the Portuguese Paulinho, who counted on a pass from Nuno Santos to shoot across and secure the three points for Sporting. Both had entered 12 minutes into the second half.
