Chelsea are scared, but beat Nottingham Forest in a busy game for the English

Chelsea visited Nottingham Forest this Saturday at the City Ground Stadium in a very exciting match for the English Championship. The Blues beat the opposing team 3-2.

The Londoners remain alive in the fight for a place in the UEFA Conference League, guaranteed to sixth place in the Premier League, now occupy seventh place with 57 points, the same score as Newcastle, currently sixth.

Nottingham Forest are in 17th place in the table, with one game remaining, and should escape relegation. Luton Town – 18th placed – have three points less, with a much smaller balance and only one game left to play.

THE GAME

The match started off lively, with Chelsea dominating the action and opening the scoring with Ukrainian Mykhaylo Mudryk eight minutes into the first half, after a great assist from Cole Palmer.

Forest would equalize shortly after. Boly, at 16, equalized for the home team by finishing a cross with a header.

In the second half the match remained open, with both teams exchanging dangerous attacks. Forest, in a game that came from the feet of their goalkeeper, reached the turning point with ex-Chelsea Hudson-Odoi, who finished with a beautiful curve in the 29th minute of the regulation stage.

Chelsea responded quickly, in the 35th, with Sterling cutting into the middle and finishing in the corner to level the match again. Nicolas Jackson, two minutes later, turned the game around for the visitors with a header after a cross from full-back Reece James – the player had come on three minutes earlier, back after an injury that kept him sidelined for the last five months.
