Barcelona is looking to hire a winger to reinforce its squad next season and sees Brazilian Pepê, formerly of Grêmio and now at Porto, as a good option for the sector, as reported by the Spanish newspaper Sports worldthis Friday.
The newspaper highlighted the player’s skill and speed as the strong points that attracted Barcelona’s attention. The Spanish club saw the Brazilian in action up close, as they were in the same group as Porto in the Champions League.
Pepê even scored a goal in the clash between the two teams, on November 28th last year. On that occasion, the Brazilian opened the scoring, but Barcelona turned the game around and won 2-1.

Being evaluated, according to the Sports worldat approximately R$138 million, the Brazilian appears as a cheaper option for Barcelona, who would also be interested in signing Dani Olmo and Nico Williams, who cost around R$330 million.
The player is also considered a versatile player, having already played as a left back for the Portuguese club.
Pepê left Grêmio in 2021, when he arrived in Portugal. At Porto, he played 144 games, scored 13 goals and provided 24 assists. This season there were eight goals and nine passes on goal.
