Vini Jr is nominated for the best player in Europe award at the Globe Soccer Awards

A Globe Soccer Awards revealed, this Friday, the players nominated for the best player in Europe award of the season. Vini Jr is the only Brazilian competing for the trophy, which will be awarded on May 28th, in Italy.

Vinícius participated in 36 Real Madrid games this season, scored 21 goals and provided nine assists. Furthermore, he has already won the Spanish title and will still play in the Champions League final, against Borussia Dortmund, on June 1st.

Vini Jr competes for the honor with Alessandro Bastoni (Inter Milan), Jude Belligham (Real Madrid), Hakan Calhanoglu (Inter Milan), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Antoine Griezmann (Atlético de Madrid), Álex Grimaldo (Bayer Leverkusen) , Serhou Guirassy (Stuttgart), Erling Haaland (City), Mats Hummels (Dortmund), Harry Kane (Bayern), Joshua Kimmich (Bayern), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid), Lautaro Martínez (Inter Milan), Kylian Mbappé (PSG ), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Rodri (City), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Bernardo Silva (City).

Globe Soccer also announced the nominees for the other award categories, such as best coach, best men’s team and best women’s team.

Among the coaches, those nominated were: ), Pep Guardiola (City), Sebastian Hoeness (Stuttgart), Simone Inzaghi (Inter Milan), Míchel (Girona), Thiago Motta (Bologna), Edin Terzić (Dortmund), Thomas Tuchel (Bayern) and Xavi Hernández (Barcelona) .

The public will decide who the finalists for the award will be, through a vote, until May 15th. The winner is decided by the panel of judges, which includes former players, coaches, referees, presidents and club directors.

This is the first time that the entity has made an exclusive award on the European continent.
