Cristiano Ronaldo scores, Al-Nassr beats Al-Akhdoud and reaches the eighth consecutive victory for Saudi

This Thursday, in the 31st round of the Saudi Championship, Al-Nassr visited and beat Al-Akhdoud 3-2, at the Prince Hathloul Bin Abdul Aziz Sport City Stadium. The visitors’ goal was scored by Cristiano Ronaldo and Brozovic (2), while Al Habaib and Godwin scored for the home team.

Now, with their eighth consecutive victory in this edition of the Saudi Championship, Al-Nassr has 77 points and occupies second place. Al-Akhdoud, in turn, with 28 units registered, remains in 15th position.

For the 32nd round of the national championship, Al-Nassr will host Al-Hilal, leader of the competition. The ball will roll on Saturday (17), at 3pm (Brasília time), at Al Awal Park at King Saud University. Al-Akhdoud, on the same day and time, will face Al-Ettifaq, at the Al Ettifaq Club Stadium.

Al-Nassr opened the scoring 7 minutes into the opening half. Brozovic received a pass from Ali Al Hassan and, from outside the area, sent a right-footed rocket into the corner of Brazilian goalkeeper Paulo Vitor.

In the 15th minute, Al-Nassr increased their advantage in the confrontation, this time with Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo. Ali Al Hassan was smart and stole the ball from the defender inside the area and crossed low. The number 7 appeared in the path of the ball and only supported it to score the net.

In the complementary stage, at 15 minutes, Al-Akhdoud’s reaction began. Al Habaib took advantage of the ball and shot low from outside the area. Colombian goalkeeper Ospina didn’t reach it and the ball died in the back of the goal.

Ten minutes later, at 25 minutes, the home team equalized. Savior Godwin, inside the area, hit a powerful shot with his right leg, towards Ospina’s angle.

In stoppage time, in the 46th minute, Al-Nassr scored the winning goal. The home defense barely cleared the danger and the ball remained alive inside the area. So, Brozovic appeared and sent a rocket, with no chance for Paulo Vitor.
