Hans-Dieter Flick is the new favorite to take over as Bayern Munich head coach. Bild reports this.
According to the source, the candidacy of Dutchman Erik ten Hag is no longer being considered. It is noted that Flick’s appointment is supported by Bayern board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and team executive director Jan-Christian Dresen.
At the moment, the head coach of Bayern is the German Thomas Tuchel. The team’s decision to part ways with him became known on February 21. The specialist who headed the club last spring will leave the team early; initially, his contract was valid until June 2025. The decision was mutual.
