After last Monday’s 4-0 defeat against Crystal Palace, Manchester United accumulated two more negative records this season. The team led by Erik Ten Hag lost the most games in its history in a single edition in the modern era of the English Championship (since 1992-93). In addition to conceding the most goals in a single season since the 70s.

The Manchester team is not having a good season. They find themselves in eighth place in the English Championship with 54 points after 35 games played, breaking their record with their 13th defeat. The last time United lost so many games was in the 1989/90 season, where they were defeated 16 times. Furthermore, they were eliminated in the group stage of the Champions League, occupying last place in group A.
The other negative record achieved by Ten Hag’s United was the number of goals conceded. Accumulating 81 goals conceded in all competitions after four more from Crystal Palace, this is the first time the team has conceded so many goals since the 1976/77 season.
With three games remaining and a bad phase that seems to have no end, the tendency is for these numbers to be worse once the season comes to an end. The Red Devils host leaders Arsenal next Sunday (12), for the 37th round of the Premier League.
