The Italian cyclist of the team Lidl-Trek Jonathan Milan ha cattlethis Tuesday, the fourth stage of the 2024 Giro d’Italiawhich has decided to sprint, in the town of Andora. Milan has surpassed, in the last meters of the day, Kaden Groves (Alpecin-Deceuninck) and Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain Victorious)second and third at the finish line, in a stage that has not brought significant changes in the general classification, where the Slovenian from UAE Emirates Tadej Pogacar continue as leaderwith 46 seconds of advantage over Geraint Thomas (INEOS Grenadiers)and 47 with respect to Daniel Felipe Martínez (BORA-Hansgrohe).
The escape of the day they have starred Fran Muñoz (Polti Kometa), Lilian Calmejane (Intermarché) and Stefan de Bod (EF Education). They have had up to six minutes of advantage, in the Colle del Melogno, 3rd category, the only scoring pass of the day. With 76 kilometers to go, Muñoz and De Bod were left alone in the lead, although they were well controlled by the peloton, which caught them in the final stretch of the stage.
The rain has caused several falls.
