Vitor Roque’s agent criticizes Xavi and talks about the young man leaving Barcelona

Despite having arrived at Barcelona at the beginning of this year, Brazilian Vitor Roque could leave the club next season. In an interview with RAC1 RadioAndré Cury, the player’s agent, criticized coach Xavi for the lack of opportunities given to the attacker.

“Vitor Roque needs to have more minutes and no one understands why they don’t give them to him. There have been many games in which he could have had those minutes and been highlighted. I don’t know how to explain it,” he said.

In recent press conferences, Xavi revealed that Vitor Roque’s future at Barcelona for next season was not yet defined and that a loan was not ruled out. However, André Cury seems not to have liked the statements, as, according to him, a loan would hinder the young Brazilian’s career.

“If the club doesn’t make room for Vitor, unfortunately we will have to talk to find a solution. A loan for a young man ends up harming him, because he goes to another club that doesn’t own him and has no interest in taking care of him. This It’s very dangerous for the boy’s career. The best thing is to stay at Barça, but if he can’t stay, we’ll work for him to leave permanently”, he revealed.

Despite the statement, the businessman revealed that the player is happy and wants to stay at the club.

“The boy has a contract with Barcelona. If we chose the club, even though we have options to earn twice as much, it’s because we wanted to play for Barça. I’m sure Vitor will be a great player, but if he doesn’t let him at Barcelona, we’ll have to look for another path “

“We are happy at Barça and we want to continue. We will sit down with the president and Deco to find a good solution for all parties,” he added.

Vitor Roque has a contract with Barcelona until 2031. The Spanish team closed an agreement with Athletico-PR for the player that could reach 74 million euros (approximately R$405 million at current prices) including the payment of taxes, commissions, in addition of possible bonuses.

In 13 appearances with the Catalan shirt, totaling around 300 total minutes on the field, Vitor Roque found the net on two occasions. He has not left the bench in Barcelona’s last four games.
