Luis Enrique projects PSG’s decisive duel against Dortmund in the Champions League

Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund face each other this Tuesday, at Parque dos Príncipes, in a game valid for the return of the Champions League semi-finals. In the first leg, the Germans won 1-0. The coach of the French team, Luis Enrique, projected the decisive match.

“As a coach, I know the game we are going to play. We have to be better than our rival, generate more opportunities and win. The game will be based on the result. The score indicates that we are being eliminated, but the idea is to play in the same way. This It won’t change our mentality at all”, he said at a press conference on the eve of the game.

“We have to play 100% focused on attack and defense. If we concede a goal we have to be calm. If we score two quick goals, our opponent will have to react”, he added.

The Brazilian defender Marquinhos also gave a press conference. He is in his third Champions League semi-final and spoke about his experience at this stage of the competition.

“Each game and season has its own story. It’s important that there are players with that experience and that they are in the dressing room. Also the coach, who knows how to prepare for this type of game. This doesn’t happen every day. I’ve been here for eleven years and it’s my third semi-final”, he said.

Marquinhos also highlighted the importance of French fans at Parque dos Príncipes, claiming that they can change the game.

“We know that fan support is very important and we have a lot of confidence. Fans can change the game with their energy. I come from Brazil where football is our life, and it’s something that happens a little with PSG fans”, explained.

To guarantee a place in the decision in London, Paris Saint-Germain will need to win by at least two goals. The advantage of one goal takes the game to penalties, while any other result gives Borussia Dortmund classification.
