With R$1.8 billion, the first transfer window of 2024 (from January 10th to March 7th) is already close to the value obtained by the international movements of athletes carried out by Brazilian clubs throughout 2023, which was around of R$1.9 billion.
Of the amount handled this year, around US$125 million (R$682.4 million) are in dollar transactions, and a further €213 million (R$1.1 billion) in euro transactions. With the result of the first window, the expectation is that 2024 will surpass the historic mark registered last year.
The value obtained in 2023 included all the financial movements of professional athletes entering and leaving Brazil, with around R$1.25 billion in sales of athletes from Brazilian clubs abroad, and R$650 million in amounts spent with the signing of players from outside the country.

Furthermore, a total of 2,589 athletes left Brazil for abroad in 2023, resulting in a growth of 20% compared to the total in 2022, with 145 costly transfers being carried out (with agreement and payment of amounts between the clubs involved).
Last season, a total of 1,216 players arrived in Brazilian football from abroad, whether Brazilian or foreign, representing a small increase compared to 2022 (6.5%).
However, the amount spent by Brazilian clubs grew by 43%, compared to the amount spent in 2022.
