The Brazilian women’s team, which won its tenth South American under-20 championship with one round to spare, will end its participation this Sunday, against Peru. The last duel of the continental competition takes place at 11pm (Brasília time), at the Estadio Modelo Alberto Spencer, in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
The squad, which won all the matches played in the final phase of the tournament (Argentina, Paraguay, Colombia and Venezuela), is looking for another triumph to close with a flourish.
With the cup already guaranteed, the Brazilian team, already qualified for the World Cup in their category, will participate in the awards ceremony, where they will receive the trophy.
The campaign
During the edition of the competition, the athletes achieved seven victories and only one defeat. Furthermore, they scored an incredible 18 goals and conceded just four.
In the first phase, despite the setback for the Colombian team, the team led by Carlos Amadeu won all the other duels (Chile, Bolivia and Venezuela), guaranteeing their place in the final hexagonal in advance.
