Midfielder Nikita Glushkov assessed safety and salaries in Slovakia
Russian footballer Nikita Glushkov spoke about what shocked him during his performances in Slovakia. His words are quoted by Metaratings.ru.
“In the Slovak city of Trebisov there was a population of about 30 thousand, and a third were Roma. It was dangerous to walk in the evenings in case someone jumped out from around the corner. It happened a couple of times that they came out to look,” Glushkov said.
The footballer also spoke about the small salaries in his professional field in Slovakia. According to him, in 2014 he received 300 euros per month, or 20 thousand rubles at the exchange rate of that time. “This is very little even compared to the Second League in Russia,” the midfielder noted.
Now Glushkov plays for Akron Togliatti, which is applying for access to the Russian Premier League (RPL). Previously, the midfielder played for the Slovak Slavoj, Sibir, Ural, Baltika and Enisey.
