Tarasov about Zhulin’s words about the performances of half-drunk figure skaters: this is nonsense
Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova spoke about the words of Alexander Zhulin about the performances of skaters while intoxicated. Her comment is quoted by RIA Novosti.
Tarasova stated that she had never heard of such a thing. “Maybe Zhulin drinks himself. Or he has such skaters. I don’t know where he gets it from. For me this is nonsense,” the specialist emphasized.
Earlier, Zhulin said that on the day of the free program at the World Championships, the skaters were shopping for a “break” after the competition. “Why does everyone skate like pieces of shit at exhibitions? That’s where everyone performs half-drunk,” he noted.
On March 1, 2022, the International Skating Union (ISU) banned Russians and Belarusians from participating in competitions under its auspices. International tournaments in the two countries were also cancelled.
