Will Still is no longer the coach of Reims, currently 11th in Ligue 1, the club announced in a statement this Thursday (2), three games before the end of the season.
“It has been decided that Will Still and his assistant, Nicolas Still, will leave their roles from today”, published Reims, who are going through a bad moment in the French Championship.
The team has not won in six matches, the three most recent of which were defeats, the last a 4-1 defeat by Clermont, bottom of Ligue 1.

The name of Still, 31 years old, has been circulating for several months as a possible future coach of an English team, one of the two countries of origin of the young Anglo-Belgian coach.
His sudden departure this Thursday is a surprise because Reims is not at risk of relegation at a time when there are three games left to play: Brest, Olympique de Marseille and Rennes.
Assistant to Ă“scar GarcĂa and head coach since the Spaniard’s departure in October 2022, Still has become one of the coaches of the moment in French football, but his name has lost strength in recent weeks.
“Stade de Reims thanks Will and Nicolas Still for their commitment and for all the beautiful emotions that were experienced together,” club president Jean-Pierre Caillot said in the club’s statement.
