The team’s Guipuzcoan cyclist Movistar Alex Aranburu has achieved this Wednesday a brilliant second place at the Frankfurt Grand Prix 2024, which has been awarded the Belgian corridor of the Lotto Dstny Maxim Van Gils. The race, held in Germany and belonging to the UCI WorldTour, has been decided by sprint, and only Van Gils has been faster than Ezkio-Itsaso. Another Basque cyclist, the one from Bilbao Jonathan Lastra (Cofidis)has been classified into eleventh position.
Thus, Alex Aranburu has once again been very close to victory in the Frankfurt Grand Prix, which has put its 61st edition at stake. So far this season 2024, Aranburu has won the points classification of the Itzulia Basque Country, and has in his record, in addition to this second place obtained in Germany, two third places, one fourth and three fifth places, among other notable results.
The race, as has been said, was won in the sprint by Maxim Van Gils, who thus scored his second victory of this season.
