Tottenham fans got some bad news. At a press conference this Wednesday, coach Ange Postecoglou revealed that striker Timo Werner suffered a hamstring injury and will miss the rest of the season.
“Timo is not well. We only have two and a half weeks left, so he will miss the rest of the season,” he said.
The German player’s injury occurred in the team’s last match, the derby against Arsenal, last Sunday. On that occasion, he left the field 30 minutes into the first half due to physical problems.

Therefore, Werner is out of Tottenham’s last five games of the season. Chelsea, Liverpool, Burnley, Manchester City and Sheffield United are the opponents, all in the English Championship.
In addition to being out of the season, Timo Werner may no longer play for the English team. He belongs to RB Leipzig, from Germany, and is on loan to the London club until the end of the European season.
According to the journalist Fabrizio RomanoTottenham will decide this month whether to exercise the option to purchase the player, which is worth 16 million euros (R$88 million).
