According to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the current champion of the Italian Championship, Internazionale de Milan, would have Bento’s name at the top of their list to succeed their current goalkeeper, Yann Sommer, who only has an active contract for another year. “Inter wants Bento, no one else” stated the newspaper.
The 35-year-old Swiss goalkeeper became a starter after the sale of André Onana at the start of last season. He forms the basis of a very solid defense in the Internazionale goal, being crucial to the team’s campaign in their twentieth victory in the Italian Serie A.
Still according to the Gazzetta dello Sport“Bento pulverized all the competition in the Nerazzurri’s analyses”, which made him become the board’s favorite to arrive and fight for the title.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper has a release clause valued at 60 million euros (around R$332 million at current prices), but an offer of 20 million euros (around R$110 million) would be enough to take him away from Athletico. -PR.
The only competition Inter may face for Bento is from Premier League clubs. If they are unable to sign the Brazilian, the Italians will opt for “minor solutions”, keeping Sommer as the undisputed first option for next season.
