Euskaraz irakurri: Ostegunean abiatuko da 2024ko “Erremontari” saioa

This Monday afternoon the presentation of the fourth edition of the program took place “Erremontari“, framed in the championship called Sagardoaren Txapelketa. The competition will start this Thursday, May 2 at the Galarreta de Hernani with the match that will face Urriza-Martirena and Ezkurra-Azpiroz. I find that, as in the rest of the matches, it can be followed through ETB1 and eitb.eus.

Between the news of this edition highlights that the matches will be played on Thursdays, instead of Mondays as was usual until now, each couple will have a captain or captainwhich replaces the figure of the coach from previous editions, and that all players will wear heart rate monitors.

Aritz Artadill, Iñaki Lekuona, Egoitz Carrion, Igor Arruti, Axier Arteaga and Patri Espinar They will act as captains of the six couples who, as usual, will bear the name of a cider house (Aburuza, Oialume Zar, Gurutzeta, Petritegi, Bereziartua and Alorrenea).

Preliminary phase and scoring

The first phase of the competition will be played as a league and will have seven days that will be played on the days May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 and June 6 and 13, all of them Thursdays. The six couples will come into play in the round-robin mode.

Each match will be played at two sets of 15 pointswith the possibility of contesting a third tiebreakerto 5 points, in case each couple wins one of the first two sets.

Refering to punctuationthe system will be the same used in the previous edition:

– For winning the first two sets (2-0): 4 points

– For winning one of the first two and the third set (2-1): 3 points

– For winning one of the first two sets and losing the tiebreaker: 1 point

– For not winning any set: 0 points

– Once the first two sets have been played, so as not to add a total of 15 points: -1 point

The semi-finals and the final

The semi-finals will be played by four best couples of the previous phase, single match, and both on the same day: the June 20th, Thursday. The crossings will be the following:

SEMIFINAL 1: 1st CLASSIFIED vs. 4TH CLASSIFIED

SEMIFINAL 2: 2nd CLASSIFIED vs. 3RD CLASSIFIED

The great final will be played on monday June 24.
