IDK Euskotren lost 79-69 against Valencia Basket in the second leg of the play-off quarter-final tie and, therefore, is out of the fight for the Endesa League title.

The team led by Azu Muguruza fell last Thursday in the Gasca by one point (59-60) and today had to come back on the Valencia court, but the locals have been superior from start to finish and have not given the San Sebastián team any option , who, in addition, have made too many errors in attack.

The tie has been complicated from the beginning for IDK Euskotren, who began by losing their duel with Valencia Basket by a partial 7-0 and, although they managed to react and tie the game at 12, they ended the first quarter with a result 28-20 adverse.

The dynamic was repeated in the second quarter, but Azu Muguruza’s team withstood the home team’s push and went into the break believing in the comeback (45-38).

Upon returning from the locker room, the San Sebastián team tried constantly, but without sufficient precision in the final shot, while Valencia ended up converting practically every attacking play. Thus, IDK finished the third quarter 13 points down on the scoreboard (64-51).
